A trading journal with a market replay you can actually trade
Reading your journal tells you what you did. It does not give you another attempt. Market replay rewinds the real market to any past date, hides everything after it, and lets you trade forward candle by candle — with the spreads that actually existed that day.
Why a replay and not a backtest
A backtest answers whether a rule set made money. It cannot answer the question that actually costs traders their accounts: whether you can follow that rule set when the candle is still forming and you do not know how it closes.
Most of what a journal exposes is not strategy. It is execution — entering early, cutting winners, moving stops, sizing up after a loss. You cannot fix any of those by reading about them. You fix them with repetitions, and a replay is the only way to get repetitions without paying for them in real money.
When the stop and the target share one candle
Every replay hits this. If both levels fall inside the same bar, which came first? Nearly all tools assume the stop — conservative, easy, and wrong often enough to matter. Over hundreds of trades that assumption becomes a systematic pessimism that hides a working strategy.
Evidence resolves it from the actual tick sequence of that minute. The real order decides, so the fill is the fill that would have happened.
Managing the trade, not just entering it
Entries are the easy part and the part everyone practises. Evidence replays the rest:
- Several take-profits that scale out of the position
- Break-even moves and trailing stops
- Partial closes at any point
- Dragging your stop or a target straight on the chart while the trade runs
Fifteen drawing tools work on the replay chart, and drawings stay editable — the ones you leave behind are part of what you review afterwards.
The data is free, and that is deliberate
Replay runs on Dukascopy tick and minute data. No separate data subscription, no per-symbol fee. It costs nothing because the source is public, which is also why the feature can exist at this price at all.
Save a session and come back to it
A replay can be kept under its own name with its trades, stops, targets and drawings. Reopen it later to review what you did, or carry on trading from exactly where you stopped. What is saved is the action log, not just the outcome — the outcome alone teaches nothing.
Open a replay right now
The demo starts on sample data. No account, nothing saved.
