A trading journal for Apex Trader Funding accounts
Apex sells two evaluations that look the same and are not: one trails at the end of the day, the other in real time. Which one you hold decides how much room you really have after a good morning.
Apex Trader Funding’s rules, as Evidence measures them
Apex 4.0 — EOD evaluation

|---|---|
| Drawdown | Trails at the end of the day |
| Daily loss | Only pauses the session |
| Minimum days | None |
| Consistency | None in the evaluation |
| Time limit | 30 days |
Apex 4.0 — Intraday evaluation
| Profit target / max loss | Same as the EOD evaluation |
|---|---|
| Drawdown | Follows your highest balance in real time |
| Daily loss | None |
Apex 4.0, for accounts bought from 1 March 2026. From independent summaries, because Apex’s own help centre could not be read when we checked. Older accounts follow the old rules, and where the intraday limit stops depends on the platform — check yours. Checked on 7 October 2026. Source: Trading Funder — Apex Trader Funding rules.
Set once, measured everywhere
Pick Apex Trader Funding, the programme, your account size and the phase in the Prop mode — five short steps. From then on the whole app measures that account with these rules: a bar under the navigation with the distance to your max loss in dollars and the room left today, the challenge on top of the overview, a warning on the trade card when a stop would use most of today’s room, and a plain message when every condition is met or which rule broke on which day.
Apex’s trading day ends at 5 pm New York time. Evidence counts the day on that clock.
Getting the trades in
Apex accounts run on Rithmic and Tradovate. Evidence has no direct connection to either yet: your trades come in through a statement import, which knows Apex’s export, or live through the NinjaTrader tracker (beta).
What a journal adds to the rule numbers
- Edge & Leaks — every symbol, session, hour and habit tested against your other trades, so you see what passes challenges for you and what quietly fails them.
- A cost ledger for fees, resets and payouts, so you know what the account really cost.
- Guardrails — a personal stop below Apex Trader Funding’s daily limit, a trade cap and a cooldown after a loss. Free.
When you do not need Evidence
If you want your Apex trades to arrive without any import, a journal with a Tradovate connection fits better today. Evidence does not have one yet.
Evidence is not affiliated with Apex Trader Funding. Rules change — always check yours against your own account. The Prop mode for one challenge is free; several at once, the cost ledger and the post-mortem are part of Pro.
