Four books on the parts of trading that are arithmetic

27 chapters, 144 minutes, free to read here. Written and checked rather than generated — every claim is either arithmetic or named as craft knowledge.

No sign-up needed to read any of it.

Most trading courses teach chart patterns. These four do not, because that is not where accounts are lost. They cover risk and position size, how to read whether you actually have an edge, why almost every confident statement traders make about their own numbers comes from a sample far too small to support it, and every way a backtest lies to the person running it.

Foundation
The psychology of trading

Risk and position size
What risk actually is, how to size a position backwards from it, why a fixed percentage behaves so differently from a fixed lot, and how a daily limit stops a bad day becoming a bad month.

The version that knows your trades

Reading is the cheap half. In the app each chapter ends in your own figures, you pick one change to make, and Evidence measures afterwards whether it changed — from your journal, not from your impression. Chapters surface themselves when your numbers cross a line, and questions you get wrong come back a week later.
